Las Olas Ecuador is nestled along the Pacific Ocean in the heart of the Ecuadorian coastline, some 40 miles (60km) south of the Equator. It sits in the middle of a beautiful 10 mile (16km) stretch of serene uninhabited beach. To the north just 5 miles (8 km) away is Bahía de Caráquez. Bahia is an alluring coastal town located on a peninsula at the mouth of the Rio Chone with great restaurants and a daily local market filled with fresh fruits, vegetables and seafood. There are clean paved streets, a museum of archaeology, cosy coffee shops, a growing local arts community, along with a population of 30,000 and a wonderful beach that leads gradually into the Pacific Ocean. To the south is San Clemente, a quaint seaside fishing village.

If a bigger city is more to your liking, Manta, Ecuador’s fastest growing city with an estimated population of over 226,500 (according to 2010 census), is located less than an hour away. Manta International Airport is anticipated to start having direct flights from North America within the next three years. Traveling by car, Las Olas is conveniently located 6 hours from Quito, Ecuador’s capital, and 4 hours from Guayaquil, Ecuador’s largest city.
